Cathrine Justesen
Specialist Dyscalculia Assessor and Teacher
I am a qualified dyscalculia assessor based in Leicestershire, working with learners up to the age of 18. I provide specialist assessments to identify maths learning difficulties, including dyscalculia, and support families and schools in understanding each learner’s individual profile.
With over 15 years of experience teaching in primary schools, I have supported many children who find maths challenging. This work has fuelled my passion for helping learners build confidence and discover strategies that allow them to succeed, even when maths feels daunting.
I am currently training with the NCETM Maths Hub to become a Primary Maths Specialist, further developing my expertise in how children learn—and sometimes struggle with—mathematical concepts.
My approach is friendly, thorough, and supportive. I want every assessment to feel positive and encouraging, and I take care to create a relaxed environment for each learner. Every assessment results in a clear, detailed report, with practical recommendations that can be used both at home and in school.
Whether you are a parent, carer, or teacher, my goal is to give you the insight and tools you need to help your learner move forward with confidence.
